The European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (AECT) Galicia-North of Portugal has announced the awarding of the Talento Eurorregión 2024 prize on July 20 at the old international bridge Tui-Valença over the Miño River. This initiative aims to promote and give visibility to creative and entrepreneurial talent on both sides of the border.

The award ceremony will take place during the Ikfem festival, a cultural initiative with contributions from both territories and a well-established trajectory with institutional support from the AECT. Those interested in submitting their projects for consideration can do so until July 7 through the festival’s website.

The jury will be composed of representatives from the AECT of the Galicia-North of Portugal Euroregion and Ikfem. In the week leading up to the exhibition, the works of these creators will be showcased on the social media platforms of the AECT Euroregion for the public to familiarize themselves with all the participating artists.

The winner of the Talento Eurorregión 2024 prize will receive a sculpture specially created for the occasion by the Galician artist Chus Sueiro as a token of recognition. This award aims to celebrate and support the innovative and imaginative projects that contribute to the cultural and creative landscape of the Euroregion.

It is a wonderful opportunity for artists and entrepreneurs from both Galicia and the North of Portugal to showcase their talents and connect with a broader audience. The collaboration between these two territories highlights the richness and diversity of the artistic scene in the region.

The Ikfem festival provides a platform for these individuals to express themselves and share their creations with a wider community. By fostering cross-border cooperation and cultural exchange, the AECT Galicia-North of Portugal is paving the way for a more vibrant and interconnected creative ecosystem in the Euroregion.

As we look forward to the award ceremony on July 20, we anticipate discovering the innovative projects and artistic endeavors that will shape the cultural landscape of the Galicia-North of Portugal Euroregion. The Talento Eurorregión 2024 prize is not only a recognition of individual talent but also a celebration of the collective creativity that thrives on both sides of the border.
