Carola de Moras spoke out after being accused of trying to undermine Karen Doggenweiler in the context of the 2025 Viña del Mar Festival. In an interview with the program Zona de Estrellas, De Moras clarified that her comments were completely taken out of context.
A few days ago, De Moras sparked controversy when she expressed on her radio program Sintonizados: «Today, you call me to do the Festival and I’ll do it for free.» Many interpreted this statement as a dig at Doggenweiler, who is said to be confirmed as the host of the festival by Mega, the channel with the event’s bid.
Social media was filled with comments accusing De Moras of trying to undermine Doggenweiler. Faced with this situation, De Moras decided to send a message to Zona de Estrellas, clarifying the context of her words.

«As always, everything taken out of context, it’s a shame that they don’t make the journalistic effort to listen, at least, to the statements I made,» De Moras said in a conversation with Manu González.
«It was completely taken out of context, because we were with my co-host (Ignacio Lira) talking, and he asked me: ‘Hey Carola, would you do the festival again?’ So I said: ‘Of course, I would do it all the time, I loved the experience, had a great time, and of course, I would do it for free,’ but it was said in a casual setting,» she added.
De Moras emphasized that her words were said in a lighthearted and humorous tone. «We were laughing about the situation, but that doesn’t mean I would do it now, or that I want to replace Karen, or that I want to undermine anyone,» she pointed out.
The former model and host also highlighted her respect and support for Doggenweiler. «I assure you that any host would do it, to return to the festival after you’ve already experienced it. In my case, especially since I was there for five years, of course I would do it, because I have love and fondness for that stage,» she said.
Finally, De Moras expressed her support for the host of Mucho Gusto. «But today, I believe that Karen not only deserves it, but it’s her turn to experience this opportunity. I am available for whatever she needs and she knows that, because we talk often,» she concluded.
