Over the weekend, a violent brawl broke out in Plaza Mayor when a man attacked a waiter with a stick. The incident took place around eleven in the morning at the terrace of a popular establishment near the entrance of Plaza del Corrillo. The attacker, a tall man dressed in black with a cap, used a metal stick to assault the waiter, who had to defend himself with a chair from the terrace. The whole scene was captured by onlookers and one person even tried to intervene by hitting the attacker with a bottle on the head.
Shortly after, the Local Police arrived at the scene, which was crowded with people at that time, and managed to stop the assault and apprehend the attacker. According to witnesses, the attacker and the victim were former colleagues.
