The National Electric Energy Company (ENEE) has announced through the National Dispatch Center (CND) that power outages are scheduled for this Sunday, July 21st in some areas of the Central District in Honduras. According to the official statement from the entity, the interruption of the power service is necessary for tasks such as line extension and construction of new circuits in most of the sectors where the power outages are scheduled.
Here is a list of neighborhoods and colonies that will be without power for several hours:
San Buenaventura: Cerro de Hula, El Izopo, San Buena Ventura, Radio Honduras Transmitter, Hondutel Transmitters, El Sauce, La Cali, and surrounding areas. The power cuts in these areas will be from 8:30 in the morning to 12:30 in the afternoon.
Central District: Part of Las Uvas residential area, El Sauce residential area, part of Las Hadas colony, part of Los Ángeles colony. Modelo, El Periodista, Lumias, Villa Santa Mónica, Robles residential area, National Bottling, Llanos del Potrero, UCENM, Las Torres colony, Venadito Confectionery, Granitos y Terrazos, Polymer, Prohcohsa, Ecohsa, Inestroza colony, Evangelical Voice of Honduras HRVC, part of Santabárbara colony, part of Recreo Estates, La Cascada residential area, Modelo colony, Roble Alto colony, Copacabana residential area, Mormon Temple, and surrounding areas. In some of these areas, the interruption will be from 8:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon, in others from 8:15 in the morning to 3:45 in the afternoon.
Central District: Part of Las Uvas residential area, part of Las Hadas colony, part of Los Ángeles colony, Agua Dulce sector, Campo Internacional School, Mediterranean Project, Villa Alicante, SOS Villages, and surrounding areas. The power cuts will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Finally, according to the CND report, in the circuit that covers the Las Uvas residential area, there will be no electricity from 8:00 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon.
Central District from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Los Hidalgos residential area, Santa Cruz residential area, Catholic University, Francisco Morazán residential area, Ciudad Nueva, Las Casitas, La Reyna Bottling Plant, Los Laureles treatment plant (SANAA), La Felicidad colony, Villa Los Laureles colony, and surrounding areas.
Lepaterique from 8:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon: ANAPO, Military School, First Infantry Battalion, Military Industry, Mateo, Lepaterique, Las Tapias, La Calera, La Brea, Monterreal Colony, City Mall, and surrounding areas.
According to ENEE, these actions are carried out with the aim of «maintaining the distribution system in optimal condition, which will result in the interruption of the power supply in the mentioned areas during the specified hours.»
