Travis Releases New Single ‘Bus’ from Upcoming Album
Travis is making a comeback with their latest album, ‘L.A. Times,’ set to hit stores on July 12, 2024, through BMG. The album features ten new songs produced by Tony Hoffer (Air, Beck, Phoenix) and composed by Fran Healy in his studio on the outskirts of Skid Row, Los Angeles, the city he has called home for the past decade.
So far, fans have already heard songs like “Raze The Bar” featuring backing vocals from Chris Martin of Coldplay and Brandon Flowers of The Killers, as well as “Gaslight” and “The River.” Now, the band has released a new track titled “Bus.” Healy shared, “I was on vacation, looking out the window, watching all the boats swaying in the sea. I was trying to write a song and nothing was coming out. It reminded me of all the years I spent waiting at bus stops. You never think it’s going to come, but if you wait long enough, it eventually shows up. Looking out to sea, at all the little sailboats, I pictured all the bands and artists sitting on them waiting for that illuminating gust of wind that would take them to fame and fortune. In the midst of all these thoughts, a small but brilliant melody came to me, and I wrote this song minutes later.”
