The Sisbén has launched the ‘Ventanilla Amarilla’ campaign to help taxi drivers in Cali. This campaign aims to simplify the procedures related to the programs offered by the State for taxi drivers. The Department of Planning, in collaboration with Sisbén Cali, has organized an event exclusively for taxi drivers on June 15th at the Centro Comercial Carrera from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. During this event, taxi drivers can carry out various procedures such as survey requests, household member updates, and personal information updates. They will also be able to apply for social programs such as Renta Ciudadana, Renta Joven, Icetex, ICBF programs, and Colombia Mayor.

In addition to these programs, the National Government has announced a subsidy for taxi drivers, which requires being in the Sisbén database. Interested individuals must present their identification documents, household member IDs, and a utility bill as proof of residence. These procedures can be carried out in person or by a household member who is of legal age.

The importance of this campaign lies in providing taxi drivers with access to benefits and social programs offered by the Government. It serves as a stepping stone for them to improve their living conditions and access various opportunities. The ‘Ventanilla Amarilla’ campaign is a testament to the commitment of the Sisbén to bring its services closer to the community, specifically to the public transportation sector.

Furthermore, in light of recent events in Cali, Metrocali has announced temporary route diversions for five MÍO routes in the southern part of the city. This decision comes after the suspension of services at the Buitrera and Univalle stations. The E21, T31, T51, P21C, and P21E routes are experiencing delays due to the diversions. The A19B route will also be temporarily out of service.

These diversions are a response to operational issues and in coordination with city authorities to ensure the safety and efficiency of public transportation services in Cali. It is essential for residents and travelers to stay informed about these changes to avoid any inconvenience while traveling within the city.
