Foundation Joins Scholarship Program in Neuquén Province
The scholarship program is one of the core initiatives launched by Governor Rolando Figueroa to strengthen essential areas such as Education, Health, and Security. The budget allocations for these areas were also sought to be reinforced due to the austerity program announced since the first day of his administration.
The Pampa Energía Foundation has joined as a contributor to the «Gregorio Álvarez» scholarship program, which the government of Neuquén Province has implemented to ensure the educational development of all students – from the Initial cycle to higher education – throughout the territory.
The scholarships, aimed at redistributing opportunities, have already begun to be paid and are funded by contributions from companies linked to the hydrocarbon activity, such as Pluspetrol, Phoenix Global Resources, YPF, the Neuquén state-owned Gas and Oil Company (GyP), Pan American Energy (PAE), Tecpetrol, and Vista, companies that have joined the initiative.
Pampa Energía is one of the major operators in Vaca Muerta and signed an agreement with Governor Rolando Figueroa and the Foundation’s president, Marcelo Mindlin.

The governor thanked the commitment to the Neuquén community and emphasized that the program also involves support for families. «Many first-generation professionals are accessing their studies. It is a program that continues to grow, and the support of companies is very important to us.»
Mindlin stated: «It is a great joy to be able to support this initiative of the governor and work together to provide more opportunities for the students in the province.» «This new agreement reinforces Pampa’s commitment to the province and its youth. It is important to highlight that for eight years, our Foundation has been supporting students from the beloved province of Neuquén with scholarships, and we will continue to do so.»
