A motorcyclist has tragically lost their life in a fatal accident that took place on the N-638 in Hondarribia, near the Amute intersection.
The incident occurred around 11:30 am and involved a motorcycle and two cars. The motorcyclist sustained very serious injuries and unfortunately passed away at the scene.
As a result of the accident, the road was closed in both directions, leading the Ertzaintza to redirect traffic onto the GI-636 towards Lapurdi and the GI-2134 towards Irun. This caused traffic jams in the area.
By 1:30 pm, the road was reopened, and traffic returned to normal.
