In an effort to reduce pollution levels in the City of Mexico and the State of Mexico, the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAMe) has implemented the Hoy No Circula program. However, this Sunday, June 9th will be a day of rest for the Hoy No Circula program, allowing all cars to transit freely in both regions. The program will resume its regular schedule on Monday.
Where Does the Hoy No Circula Program Apply?
From Monday to Saturday, the Hoy No Circula program is enforced in various municipalities including Atizapán de Zaragoza, Coacalco, Cuautitlán, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Chalco, Chicoloapan, Chimalhuacán, Ecatepec de Morelos, Huixquilucan, Ixtapaluca, La Paz, Naucalpan de Juárez, Nezahualcóyotl, Nicolás Romero, Tecámac, Tlalnepantla de Baz, Tultitlán, and Valle de Chalco. Vehicles with a double zero, zero, electric, or hybrid hologram are exempt from the restrictions and can circulate every day, including Saturdays. The regular schedule for the Hoy No Circula program is from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM, also applying to Morelos and Tlaxcala.
