Mark Henry explains his recent appearance in MLW
After confirming his departure from AEW due to the expiration of his contract, Mark Henry made a surprise appearance at MLW Battle Riot VI. He and Teddy Long, both members of the WWE Hall of Fame, represented the Bomaye Elders while overseeing the Ritual Combat match between Alex Kane and AJ Francis.
In a recent interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, “The World’s Strongest Man” shared his thoughts on his appearance in MLW. Henry expressed his long-standing friendship with Court Bauer and Alex Greenfield, stating, “I have been friends with Court and Alex for a long time, and sometimes you have relationships with people that are not the same as being friends. I know those guys. They were my friends, and when you are a friend with someone, you don’t have to talk to them every day to still have that respect and admiration for them. And that’s what happens, especially with Alex. We just understand each other.”
Henry also praised the opportunity to witness the talent in MLW firsthand, highlighting the camaraderie and excitement of seeing the next generation of wrestlers in action.
In other results from MLW Battle Riot VI, Janai Kai successfully defended her MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship against Delmi Exo, while Satoshi Kojima retained his MLW World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Tom Lawlor. Additionally, Matt Riddle emerged victorious in the Battle Riot, earning a shot at the MLW World Championship.
The event showcased thrilling matches and exciting moments, solidifying MLW’s position as a premier destination for professional wrestling entertainment. Fans can catch the replay of the event for free and witness the incredible action unfold in the ring.
